A Surprise New Studio Space

Hey everybody, it's the Leadership Tea Podcast, and we're here with a surprise. We're in a new space, a local studio near us in the DMV called Coush. What do you think, Shelby?

I'm loving this new space. I'm loving the evolution that the podcast is taking. And I'm really thankful that we stumbled across this collaboration. The staff here at KO and Crush have been amazing, collegial, very welcoming. And I'm just really excited about this next phase of the podcast and the fact that we're continuing to make new partnerships and expanding our community. Because as we always say, community is clutch. And it's just been really rewarding to see how we're able to continue making connections in the most unlikely spaces. Like we didn't even know that this place existed. And it's literally in our backyard.

Why Rooted And Rising Matters

Yes. This is our leadership retreat that is called Rooted and Rising. And we're taking what we've been doing locally abroad. This retreat is for anyone who's looking to restore, rejuvenate, invest in themselves in a different setting. South Africa is a unique and beautiful country. And we have intentionally set the week of Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday as the timing for this event to really think about the sacrifices that our ancestors have made for us, both here in the United States and world figures abroad. But really, it's an opportunity for anyone who's interested in this retreat to take a step back and think about how do I need to invest in myself right now in order to take myself to the next level.

Right. There's going to be opportunities to, of course, see the sites, but we're also going to do fun things like go to the wineries. Hello. And there's going to be opportunities as well to meet and connect with local business leaders and other figures around Cape Town so that you leave not only with the network of the other people on the trip, but you're also going to begin to build a global network, starting with South Africa. So it's going to be fun, it's going to be relaxing. And anybody who's been on our other retreats probably knows that everything that we do is it's with a touch of luxury.
